The story

Mamelodi Sundowns have received a welcome message from one of their most famous supporters, award-winning hip-hop producer, DJ Khaled, after the club touched down in Florida for the Club World Cup.

Over recent years, since Roc Nation Sports partnered with Masandawana, DJ Khaled has regularly shared his love and support for the club, celebrating their triumphs and wishing them luck ahead of big matches in the CAF Champions League.

The "God Did" hitmaker recently featured in a campaign where he's shown on digital billboards in Sandton, supporting Downs with the words: "Good luck Mamelodi Sundowns… The sky is the limit!" embellished below his image.

In a new video shared by Roc Nation Sports International, DJ Khaled warmly welcomed Masandawana to the States.

Proudly holding up an old Sundowns jersey, DJ Khaled passionately says, "Ay yo this this DJ Khaled, Sundowns is coming to America!" before concluding with, "Welcome to America, let's go!"

Mamelodi Sundowns are currently settling into their base in Bradenton, Florida, at the state-of-the-art IMG Academy, in preparation for their first Club World Cup match against Ulsan HD FC next week.

They will then play additional group F games against German club Borussia Dortmund and Brazilian side Fluminense.

This latest show of support from DJ Khaled reaffirms his strong connection to Mamelodi Sundowns and adds to his recent history of backing the club.
