The South African tactician has been touted as a top target for the White Knights in recent weeks.
The links between the five-time CAF Champions League winners and the Kagiso native are not new, as the White Knights have long been considered a possible destination for Mosimane. However, that alleged interest previously did not amount to a deal being struck.
As clubs begin preparing for the 2025/26 season, Zamalek have once again been linked with the former Mamelodi Sundowns boss. According to Filgoal, a number of agents and intermediaries have offered the 60-year-old to the North African juggernauts.
The White Castle ended their season on a high, winning the Egyptian Cup at the expense of Pyramids FC. However, their then-head coach Ayman El Ramadi was only hired on an interim basis, and the club is now searching for a permanent appointment. Mosimane is once again believed to be on the club’s shortlist.
The same report, however, stated that while several agents are keen to facilitate Mosimane's return to Cairo International Stadium, no formal offer or meeting has yet materialised between the parties regarding a possible appointment.

The former attacker once led Al Ahly, where he won two CAF Champions Leagues, two CAF Super Cups, and secured two bronze medal finishes at the FIFA Club World Cup.
