The story
There's a reason why Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Thabo Cele is affectionately known as the "Mayor of KwaMashu" by supporters, as the baller does more than just represent the area when donning the black and gold of the Glamour Boys.
Cele, who is enjoying his first six months back in Mzansi after joining his dream club Kaizer Chiefs from Russia, took to social media to show how he's reaching out to people in his area who chose the wrong path.
"Thabo Cele had a sit-down conversation with his childhood brothers who took a wrong turn to drugs, our mission as @tcproject5 is to help each other as 'brothers' to overcome our demons to be MEN that our society needs," captioned Cele's TC Projects page in a video shared on IG.
The clip shows Cele engaging with members of the community about their struggles and a "way forward", as stated by the KwaMashu-born star at the end of the clip.
As Cele's star power continues to grow at the Glamour Boys, supporters can expect to see the baller continue to positively platform his hometown.
