A Soweto giant appears to be edging closer to securing a prized winger's signature, beating out both their local rivals in what could be one of the most significant attacking acquisitions of the transfer window.
As previously reported by Soccer Laduma, who were first to break news of Orlando Pirates' progress and interest in Tshepang Moremi, the Buccaneers are now at an advanced stage in their hope to secure the potential signing.

Insiders with connections across multiple PSL boardrooms have indicated that Moremi's move to the Buccaneers is imminent with a three-year deal on the cards. Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs have also shown interest in the Bafana Bafana winger but Bucs are believed to have won the race.
"We can say that this Orlando Pirates and Moremi deal is as good as done. Yes, it's believed that Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs were also interested in him but Pirates have apparently won this race. It's as good as done at the moment," the insider told the Siya crew.
A backroom confidant at AmaZulu with direct knowledge of the ongoing negotiations stated that it's believed that the involved parties have agreed on a three-year contract which is expected to run from July 2025 to June 2028.

"Apparently it's a three-year contract. All the involved parties have agreed to a three-year contract. It's believed that all the personal terms between the player and the team have also been agreed. That's why Moremi's Pirates move is as good as done," the second insider revealed.
The Bafana Bafana winger has been a regular starter for Usuthu in the past two seasons, having played nearly all the league games in each of the past two seasons, and also getting in among the goals.
The imminent capture of Moremi represents a significant coup for the Sea Robbers, particularly in beating both Sundowns and Chiefs to a South Africa national team player. With continental football on the horizon, Moremi's pace and directness could prove vital assets in Pirates' quest for CAF success.
For Chiefs, missing out on yet another target to their crosstown rivals will be a bitter pill to swallow, especially as they continue their own rebuilding project under Nabi. The three-year deal also indicates Pirates' long-term faith in the player, who at 24 is entering what should be the prime years of his career.
