Reflecting on the trip, Onana—who faced a challenging second season with the Red Devils—shared his appreciation for the warm welcome he received and praised the nation's cultural depth and hospitality, calling the experience unforgettable and eye-opening.
"I had the honour of being received by His Excellency Ibrahim Traoré, President of Burkina Faso and Head of State. A huge thank you to the President and to the people of Burkinabe for their hospitality.
"This visit gave me a better understanding of the human and cultural richness of the country," wrote Onana on his Instagram account, adding that the visit was "Unforgettable and full of learning experiences. All the best for the future of Burkina Faso."
Onana's words were attached alongside two images of him alongside the Burkinabe head of state, one of which sees him handing over his signed Man United jersey from last season.
