AmaZulu CEO Sinenjabulo Zungu and the club's striker Bongi Ntuli have taken their relationship to the next level as their family and friends celebrated their union in traditional fashion on Sunday.

What's the story?

The AmaZulu family was celebrating the union of two important figures at the club, Sinenjabulo Zungu and Bongi Ntuli who had their membeso ceremony yesterday. 

The club's owner Sandile Zungu was present to give his daughter a fitting send-off, with the lovely couple matching in sleek traditional outfits for the pre-wedding ceremony.

Sine Zungu and Bongi Ntuli's special day

Usuthu CEO, Sinenjabulo Zungu and baller Bongi Ntuli have taken a beautiful step in their loving relationship after celebrating their membeso in the KZN midlands yesterday. 

The isiZulu traditional event is known as being part of the process of a traditional isiZulu wedding -  that celebrates the union of marriage between two individuals, in other words, an official engagement ceremony.   

umembeso is done once ilobola has been paid, and also sees the groom's family gifts the bride's family, specifically the mother of the bride, as a way of thanking her for raising the groom's soon-to-be wife.

The glamourous traditional event appeared to take place at a Zungu family property, with plenty of content shared on social media by the married-couple-to-be's friend's and family:

Ntuli's teammates; Sibusiso Mabiliso, Mbongeni Gumede, Thembela Sikhakhane, Ramahlwe Mphahlele and Dumisani Zuma among others were all there to support the club's striker on his special day.
