The 32-year-old also got candid about his new life in KwaZulu Natal and what he's enjoyed about staying there.

Abel Mabaso's off-season plans
Richards Bay midfielder Abel Mabaso took time to chat to Fan Park about what he'll be getting up to during this off-season.
Coming off a topsy-turvy season at Richards Bay, where he featured 26 times in the DStv Premiership, Mabaso's well earned rest will see him spending time with his loved ones.
"I'll just take some time off with family, and just spend as much time as I can at home because I haven't a lot of time with them since the season was on.
"I'll also spend some time with my fiancé," says the family man, who seems to be enjoying the relaxed lifestyle in KZN.
"I've enjoyed the weather and being closer to the beach," says Mabaso about life on the East Coast, showing that he enjoys the simple but vital things that his new home has to offer.

When looking at Abel Mabaso's Instagram, you can see he has quite the interest in contemporary streetwear brands and maintaining a simple but on-trend sense of style.
In terms of fashion inspiration, he looks to Spanish veteran Sergio Ramos and admires his dressing approach, and that inspiration comes through at times with Mabaso's 'fits.
"My dress code is very simple and relaxed. I try to buy what I'm most comfortable wearing. It varies you know? There's no specifics in terms of brands, if it looks nice and I like it, and the 'fit is good, then I'll buy it [clothing items], says Mabaso, who's all about keeping it uncomplicated.
Mabaso perfectly executes his styling philosophy, and keeping it fresh and interesting with brands. From Birkenstocks, to local garments from Sol-Sol and accessorising with sunglasses and bucket hats, Mabaso's drip is perfect for his ideal lifestyle in KZN.
