As the game reached its closing stages with Downs holding a slender 2-1 lead, Gaston Sirino stepped up to take a corner, but was booked for time-wasting. Sibusiso Vilakazi then took over from Sirino, and he was then was booked for the same offence.
Hlompho Kekana then switched with "Vila" at the corner flag, and was also booked for taking his time thereafter.
A clip of the incident was shared by British actor Colin McFarlane on Twitter, who then tagged several well-known pundits in the post, including former FC Barcelona and England star Gary Lineker, who reacted to the video.
