MultiChoice Diski Challenge Wrap 11 September 2016

Mamelodi Sundowns 0-1 Orlando Pirates

Orlando Pirates began their MultiChoice Diski Challenge campaign with a 1-0 win over Mamelodi Sundowns on Sunday afternoon.

Siyabonga Mpontshane and Ntsikelelo Nyauza were named in the Buccaneers line-up. While, Rheece Evans was named in the Sundowns side.

The only goal of the game arrived after two minutes when Grant Peters volleyed home from the edge of the box.

Baroka 0-4 Ajax Cape Town

Ajax Cape Town proved too strong Baroka FC, after they ran out 4-0 winners on Sunday morning.

Masilake Phohlongo opened the scoring after 10 minutes, before Thomas Chideu, Colin Ryan and Keorapetse Molete got on the score-sheet in the second half.

Maritzburg United 1-1 Highlands Park 

Maritzburg United and Highlands Park began their campaign with a point, after playing out a 1-1 draw on Sunday morning.

Luyanda Ntshangase handed Maritzburg the lead after 25 minutes, before Muzi Thabotha leveled matters for the visitors after the hour-mark.

Chippa United 1-0 Platinum Stars

Bulumko Ceki scored the only goal of the game to hand Chippa United a 1-0 win over Platinum Stars in their opening MDC clash.
