Mamelodi Sundowns 0-2 Kaizer Chiefs

Kaizer Chiefs progressed to the final of the DStv Diski Shield with a 2-0 win over Mamelodi Sundowns on Saturday afternoon.

The Soweto giants thrashed SuperSport United last week to book a place in the semi-finals, while Sundowns ousted Orlando Pirates.

Mduduzi Shabalala, who was promoted to the Chiefs first team, opened the scoring on 29 minutes from the penalty spot after earning the spot-kick himself.

The AmaKhosi had to wait until the 74th minute for the second goal, with Wandile Duba taking his tally to three goals in the Shield tournament.

Stellenbosch 1-0 Chippa United

DStv Diski Challenge champions Stellenbosch advanced to the Shield final after defeating Chippa United 1-0 on Saturday afternoon.

The Western Cape outfit overcame Maritzburg United in the quarter-finals last weekend while Chippa defeated TS Galaxy.

One goal was all it took to settle the tie as Mervin Boji bagged his second goal in as many games from the penalty spot in the 70th minute.

Stellies and Chiefs will now battle in the final next Saturday at Mpumalanga Stadium.
