Chiefs Thrash Sundowns, Royal AM End CT City's Winning Start

Mamelodi Sundowns 0-3 Kaizer Chiefs

Kaizer Chiefs got back to winning ways after a resounding 3-0 victory over Mamelodi Sundowns on Saturday afternoon at Wits Football Stadium.

Xolani Cossa, Wandile Duba and Donay Jansen were all on target for the Glamour Boys.

SuperSport United 1-1 Orlando Pirates

Orlando Pirates extended their winless run to three matches after they were held to a 1-1 draw by SuperSport United on Saturday morning at Lucas Moripe Stadium.

The Buccaneers went ahead courtesy of a strike from range by Mohau Nkota but they were pegged back on the hour-mark by a penalty converted by Sibusiso Maziko for Matsatsantsa.

Royal AM 4-1 Cape Town City

Cape Town City's perfect start came to an end after a 4-1 crushing by Royal AM on Saturday morning at Mpumalanga Stadium.

City, however, remained at the top of the table with a three-point lead while AM picked up onkt their second victory of the season.

Golden Arrows 3-2 Chippa United

Golden Arrows won their second game in three outings after edging Chippa United 3-2 on Saturday morning at Princess Magogo Stadium.

Samkelo Mzolo opened the scoring for Arrows on 19 minutes but Chippa found the equaliser early in the second stanza through Fololo.

The Chilli Boys took the lead just after the hour-mark courtesy of Bonani but Abafana Bes'thende rallied from behind as Mzolo levelled matters with nine minutes remaining and bagged his brace.

Mgwaba snatched the winner for Arrows five minutes before time.

Maritzburg United 4-2 Richards Bay

Maritzburg United came back from two goals down to thrash Richards Bay 4-2 in the KwaZulu-Natal derby on Saturday morning at Harry Gwala Stadium.

Lawndile Mabuya and Sphephile Buthelezi gave the Natal Rich Boyz a two-goal cushion inside the first 12 minutes.

However, Maritzburg found three goals consecutively from behind to head to the half-time break leading 3-2.

The Team of Choice settled the game with the fourth goal shortly after the hour-mark.
