DStv Diski Challenge Wrap

TS Galaxy 1-2 Stellenbosch FC

Stellenbosch FC were crowned champions of the DStv Diski Challenge with a come-from-behind 2-1 win over TS Galaxy on the final day of the season.

It was Daanyal Daya that got the opener late in the first half, but a sumptuous free-kick on the cusp of halftime by Antonio Van Wyk took the Maroons level at the break.

The Maroons grabbed the winner when Van Wyk completed his brace during the closing stages of the match, as the Rockets finished their campaign in fifth spot.

Orlando Pirates 2-0 Swallows FC

Orlando Pirates finished their campaign on a victorious note all through to a 2-0 victory over Swallows FC in the original Soweto derby in Tskakane.

Star striker Boitumelo Radiopane netted after the opening seconds and completed his brace near the end of the first half and in the process recorded his 24th strike of the season.

Royal AM 0-2 SuperSport United

SuperSport United missed out on the title despite securing a 2-0 win over Royal AM at the Hammarsdale Stadium in Mpumalanga.

The win ensures that United end the campaign second on the table, as the goals came in the second half from Ryan Manning and Neo Rapoo.

Maritzburg United 3-2 Mamelodi Sundowns

Mamelodi Sundowns were unable to cement their seventh-place standings after going down 3-2 to Maritzburg United in Mpumalanga.

Asanda Buthelezi give United an early lead before Ofentse Mashiane pulled Sundowns back level only for Buthelezi to restore his side's advantage for his second.

Maritzburg bagged a third late on through Cameron Carnell, while Cassius Mailula got the Brazilians a second which proved nothing but a consolation as United secured a top eight berth.

Kaizer Chiefs 1-1 Baroka FC

Kaizer Chiefs confirmed sixth position on the table following a 1-1 draw against Baroka FC out at the FNB Stadium in Johannesburg.

The Amakhosi got the opener through Wandile Duba on the half-hour mark, but Nelson Masete rescued Bakgaga Ba Ga Mphahlele from the brink of defeat and left the spoils shared.

Chippa United 3-1 Golden Arrows

Chippa United staged a quick comeback in the first half to overcome Golden Arrows 3-1 to end their campaign on a winning note and in fourth spot too.

Abafana Besthende hit the front in the first 20 minutes through Sabelo Duma, but it was short-lived and a quick double from Thulani Mini put Chippa in firm control which ultimately secured them the victory.

Marumo Gallants FC 1-1 Sekhukhune United

Bottom-placed Marumo Gallants FC brought their campaign to an end with a last-gasp 1-1 draw against Sekhukhune United.

Babina Noko were ahead for long spells following the opener from Thabang Mokoena, but Ngobeni rescued the host right at the death.

Cape Town City 1-3 AmaZulu

Two goals from Msindisi Ndlovu steered AmaZulu to a 3-1 victory over Cape Town City at the Malta Sports Ground and finished their season on a winning note.

As Ndlovu bagged a double, lanky forward Lindokuhle Zungu handed Usuthu a third all while the Citizens attempted a turnaround.
