Sundowns To Assess Injured Duo
Mamelodi Sundowns suffered a double injury setback on Saturday during the 2-0 CAF Champions League win over AC Leopards. Asavela Mbekile and Leonardo Castro had to be taken off after picking up injuries. A Soccer Laduma source at the club told the Siya crew that Mbekile's injury was a hamstring but it's not yet clear what Castro, who scored one of the goals, suffered from. "It's a blow to the team. You know at this point in time they need all the players as the schedule is very tight. They will assess their injuries today (Sunday) and they will take it from there," the source explained. "They have a game midweek before travelling to Congo for the rerun leg and they want to know if these two will be able to be part of the travelling team."
