Robson Muchichwa says that a home win can help his former club, Kaizer Chiefs, to put their poor domestic results behind them as they take on ASEC Mimosas in the CAF Champions League.
The retired winger has stressed the importance of the home game in the tie against the Ivorian giants that Steve Komphela's men will be determined to put the losses against Orlando Pirates and Platinum Stars behind them.
"They must win at home. In this tournament home games are very important," he told the Siya crew.
"I know that the players are determined to put the past bad results behind them and win against ASEC."
The 40-year-old also said that he believes that the experienced Amakhosi team has what it takes to get the result.
"They can do it as they have well experienced international players in the team who can stand up and be counted at this stage and that's good for the team. The most important thing is that they have to win at home," Muchichwa concluded.
