Former Kaizer Chiefs left back, Robson Muchichwa, reckons that the club's involvement in the CAF Champions League will be helpful for the players, who will gain experience that will help them in domestic competitions.
Williams: CAF Should Benefit Chiefs
Chiefs overcame their opponents Volcan de Moroni without even touching the ball in the second leg of their encounter and, will now come up against Asec Mimosas from the Ivory Coast.
The 40-year-old expressed his disappointment that the Amakhosi did not get to play the second leg, but that the experience gained from the next match (against Mimosas) will be good for the team nonetheless.
"I wish they had played the second leg and win again but it's still good for the team because they will play against a good team which will help them gain experience," he told the Siya crew.
The Zimbabwean-born player went on to say that playing in Africa brings a whole new level of experience to the squad.
"The players will learn a lot playing in Africa and that is good for the team," the former Amakhosi man explained.
