With Mamelodi Sundowns now just one round away from qualifying for the group stages of this year's CAF Champions League, former striker, Phil Masinga is certain that they will go far in the tournament.
Zungu Close To Return For Sundowns
Following their draw against Leopards de Dolisie this weekend, which saw them progress 3-1 on aggregate in the tie, the former Leeds United striker complimented their performance away from home.
"By drawing away in Congo it just shows that the team has what it takes to play in Africa," he told the Siya crew.
Masinga thinks that Pitso Mosimane is taking the competition seriously, which will see them progress even further in the continental tournament.
"They are doing well at home and also in Africa because they are taking every competition with the same seriousness. If they continue like that they can go far in Champions league and that's what coach Pitso wants," Masinga concluded.
