The Amakhosi will host the reigning champions of the Ivory Coast at FNB Stadium on March 12th as they look to use home advantage ahead of the second leg a week later.

Chiefs will not be facing unknown opposition as in the preliminary round against Volcan de Moroni, although don't have good memories of their last encounter with ASEC after they were beaten 3-1 on aggregate by the Ivorian side in the 2014 CAF Confederation Cup.

The match details were confirmed on the Glamour Boys' official website, saying, "Kaizer Chiefs will host Ivory Coast's Asec Mimosas in the first leg of the CAF Champions League's first round at the FNB Stadium on Saturday, 12 March (kick-off is at 19:30).

"At a later stage we will announce ticketing details."

ASEC beat Chiefs 2-1 in the home leg of their CCC game in 2014, and Steve Komphela will be hoping to get a better result against them than his predecessor, Stuart Baxter.
