The Amakhosi will be playing in the second leg of their Champions League first round game with ASEC Mimosas on Sunday.
Having lost the first leg game 1-0 at FNB Stadium last weekend, Steve Komphela and his team aim to upset Mimosas in front of their home supporters, for a chance to advance to the next stage of the competition.
Komphela has emphasised the importance of scoring early in the game in their aim to achieve continental glory. Chiefs have lost all of their last four games in different competitions they have been involved in.
The aim for Komphela and the team is to use the game with Mimosas to return to winning ways and to make their supporters happy again.
Chiefs confirmed on the club's official Twitter account that the team landed safely in the West African country.
"The Glamour Boys arrived safely in Côte d'Ivoire last night #KCExcel," Chiefs tweeted.
