Speaking to Soccer Laduma ahead of his team's crucial second-leg fixture against the Chloorkop-based outfit at the Lucas Moripe Stadium on Saturday, Antipas said that the victory against the PSL log-leaders served as a confidence booster
"It was a good experience playing against Mamelodi Sundowns. I've been with the national team before, so I've had quite a few excursions with big games," the Zimbabwean said.
"For the team, it was the first time playing in the CAF Champions League and it was a really big game for us. The victory over Sundowns was a real confidence booster and raised the players' game. It's great to get one over a club like Sundowns," he said to Soccer Laduma.
When asked about fears of Sundowns' backlash in the second-leg, the coach stated that they are expecting it, but will need to adapt their tactics accordingly.
"We expecting Sundowns to come out guns blazing. They're hoping to come out with a victory against us and we know that. We just have to try and get our tactics right and, once again, try and hit them on the break," the Chicken Inn coach further said.
