REPORT: CAF Extends Special Invite To Pyramids

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has reportedly extended a special invitation to Pyramids FC to attend the unveiling of the new trophy.

The Sky Blues face Mamelodi Sundowns in the CAF Champions League final with the first leg clash taking place at Loftus Versveld in Pretoria on Saturday 24 May.

The Egyptian side is expected to leave Egypt on Wednesday and will embark on a 10-hour travel to South Africa.

Upon their arrival in SA, Masrawy revealed that the club's board of directors, as well as head coach Krunoslav Jurcic, were reportedly invited to attend the unveiling of the new CAF Champions League trophy.

The publication reported further that the ceremony is set to take place on Thursday at the TotalEnergies headquarters.

Among the guests in attendance include CAF President Patrice Motsepe, several CAF officials, as well as representatives from Pyramids and Sundowns.

According to Youm7, Pyramids are expected to hold two training sessions in Pretoria on Thursday at Tuks University and on Friday at Loftus ahead of the final on Saturday.
