Riveiro officially left the Buccaneers last week and later revealed that he was set to join the Egyptian giants ahead of the FIFA Club World Cup.
The Spaniard is expected to formally take over at the Red Devils once the season ends with interim coach Emad El-Nahhas expected to remain in charge until the end of the current campaign.
According to reports from Ahly News, Mbekezeli Mbokazi is among the names who could join his former boss in Egypt as the club prepares to bolster its backline.
Ahly news claim that a club source said that Mbokazi was tipped by Riveiro's team as the main option for the upcoming season as the Spanish coach is fond of the defender's strong defensive abilities.
The report adds that the club is also interested in signing Mbokazi owing to his age as the 19-year-old can be registered as an underage player, meaning his signing won't impact the Red Giant's foreign slots.
