The Egyptian giants will be looking to take the first step towards becoming only the fourth side from their nation to lift Africa’s premier club competition when they face off against Miguel Cardoso’s charges.
The two sides have actually met before — during last season’s CAF Champions League group stage. That encounter saw them draw in Cairo, before Sundowns claimed a narrow 1-0 win in the return leg. However, this season the stakes are significantly higher, with the title itself now on the line.
