Masandawana face AC Leopards at the Lucas Moripe Stadium tonight and the former Orlando Pirates mentor believes that preparation for the games should be done long in advance.
"I don't think you can do too much on the day of the game. I think it's got to be a preparation that starts long before that, where you explain what it's going to be like. The more information you give the players the better, so that they can be prepared, " De Sa said.
De Sa led Pirates to the CAF Champions League final in 2013, where they came up against Leopards in the group stages. The Buccaneers managed to hold the Congolese giants to a 0-0 home draw, before sealing a 1-0 victory away.
The Urban Warriors coach advised Mosimane to watch videos of Pirates' two encounters against Leopards, as it would offer great insight as to what to expect.
"I'm talking about videos of Pirates playing there, seeing what the field is like and what the conditions are like. It's not just about looking at the opposition; look at the conditions that you're going to face," the 51-year-old said.
"I certainly believe Sundowns have the quality to win. They've got enough players, they've got enough depth… a lot better than what Pirates had," De Sa told Soccer Laduma.
