Only one player will walk away with the prestigious Footballer of the Season award, but who has been the most outstanding so far?
The 2019/20 season will resume action in a days' time and players are looking forward to returning to the field to reignite their form.
Apart from the two trophies still up for grabs, there are several individual accolades that will be handed out at the end of the campaign, though extra attention will be on the player who walks away with the Footballer of the Season award.
As things stand, a few players have already been in the limelight as possible contenders for the award:
Gaston Sirino
Sirino is having one of his best seasons with Mamelodi Sundowns and while he's become a fan favourite, his statistics can certainly prove why he's an influential player for the Brazilians.
The Uruguayan has made 23 domestic appearances for Sundowns this season, scoring eight goals in all competitions, five of which came in the Telkom Knockout campaign, contributing greatly to the team lifting the trophy back in December.
Lebogang Manyama
The 29-year-old midfielder has missed just one Absa Premiership encounter for Kaizer Chiefs all season.
Manyama, who's been in great form this season, has been integral to Amakhosi's fight for the league title, flourishing in Ernst Middendorp's system.
The player has scored seven and assisted nine goals so far and all eyes will be on him to see how he completes the season.
Themba Zwane
Another Sundowns player in great form is Zwane, though he has remained one of the more consistent players in the PSL over the past few seasons.
However, Mshishi is having his highest-scoring league campaign in his professional career. Zwane has scored nine Absa Premiership goals and 10 in all domestic competitions.
The 31-year-old was nominated for the award last year and it remains to be seen whether he will walk away with the accolade at the end of this season.
Gabadinho Mhango
Mhango is currently leading the goalscoring charts having scored 14 Absa Premiership goals so far.
The Malawian international has been integral to the Bucs turning around their season since Josef Zinnbauer's arrival in December last year.
Samir Nurkovic
Nurkovic also makes the list of top league goalscorers, having scored 12 this season in his maiden campaign for Chiefs.
In 19 league appearances, the Serbian's goals have been integral to Amakhosi securing the points to keep them top of the log in the Absa Premiership.
