Two South African giants will kick-off the resumption of the league campaign this week, showcasing exactly what's in store for the remainder of the season.
On Tuesday evening, the Absa Premiership campaign will pick up exactly where it left off in March this year, with Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates locking horns in one of the most anticipated fixtures.
But what else can we look forward to in the coming weeks?
Kaizer Chiefs vs Bidvest Wits - 12 August
Chiefs will host Bidvest Wits at the Orlando Stadium on Wednesday evening in a must-win clash for the Soweto giants as they look to continue their lead at the top of the Absa Premiership standings.
However, Wits go into the encounter an unpredictable team due to the current circumstances at the club and could prove to be a tricky opponent for Amakhosi on the night.
Orlando Pirates vs Bidvest Wits - 15 August
A few days later, Wits will face off with another Soweto side and if the first leg's results are anything to go by, the football fraternity will be in for a great show!
In their previous meeting, the two sides played to seven-goal thriller, with Pirates losing 4-3 away from home in September.
Cape Town City vs Mamelodi Sundowns - 17 August
The Brazilians are yet to secure victory over the Citizens this season, though whenever the two sides do come up against each other, the fans are always guaranteed an entertaining spectacle.
This will be another must-win for Sundowns in order to keep their title hopes alive.
Cape Town City vs Orlando Pirates - 23 August
Another guaranteed goal-fest is an encounter between City and the Bucs. Earlier this season, the two sides played to an exciting 3-3 draw.
Pirates need to make sure they grab maximum points to stay in the running for the title and a CAF spot. On the other hand, City needs to continue climbing the log.
Kaizer Chiefs vs Mamelodi Sundowns - 27 August
The encounter between these two sides will likely decide where the title goes on September 05, as both teams are eager for maximum points.
This will be Sundowns' catch-up fixture, while for Amakhosi, it will be a six-pointer.
Chiefs (1st) currently lead second-placed Sundowns by four points on the log and it remains to be seen what their points tally will be, come August 27.
