The next few weeks will be filled with action in the Absa Premiership, but who are some of the young players that could leave Mzansi on the edge of their seats?
The future of Mzansi football looks bright as several youngsters have come up through the ranks and are being given a chance for both club and country.
Two young players in particular have already received great praise from their respective coaches over the past weekend, though with the league campaign in full swing this week, there are several others to look out for.
Rowan Human (19-years-old)
The 19-year-old made his fourth domestic appearance for Bidvest Wits at the weekend, this after being promoted to the first team back in January.
According to his head coach, Gavin Hunt, Human is the best young player in the country and Mzansi can expect to see more of him in the coming weeks.
Wits will lock horns with Kaizer Chiefs on Wednesday evening and it remains to be seen whether he could secure a spot in the starting line-up.
Keletso Makgalwa (23-years-old)
Makgalwa has been one of Mamelodi Sundowns' eye-catching young players and he was able to once again showcase his talents this weekend when he came off the bench to help the Brazilians secure a spot in the final of the Nedbank Cup competition.
Mosimane was full of praise for his super-sub.
Sundowns face-off with Orlando Pirates this evening and the 23-year-old could be in contention for a spot in the starting line-up.
Thabiso Monyane (20-years-old)
Monyane has been regarded as the 'best right-back' in the country, according to his former mentor, Rulani Mokwena.
The youngster has made 13 domestic appearances for Orlando Pirates so far and it remains to be seen if Josef Zinnbauer will give the player a chance against Sundowns this evening.
Sipho Mbule (22-years-old)
Mbule has had an impressive run for SuperSport United in the 2019/20 campaign and even scooped the Absa Premiership Player of the Month award for November 2019.
Mbule has established himself as a regular in Kaitano Tembo's side and Mzansi will be looking out to see if he will continue on his impressive form when SuperSport lock horns with Bloemfontein Celtic on Sunday.
Reeve Frosler (22-years-old)
Frosler has been one of the key players in Chiefs' title run this season and has made 16 league appearances so far.
While he will not feature against Wits on Wednesday evening through suspension, the versatile player is expected to continue where he left off for Amakhosi when they face-off with Polokwane City on Saturday.
