Brazil legend, Ronaldo de Lima, fears Germany striker, Miroslav Klose, could break his all-time goal-scoring record at the upcoming World Cup.
Ronaldo has scored 15 goals over three World Cups and is only one goal ahead of Klose.
The 36-year-old Germany striker will play his fourth World Cup and could break Ronaldo's record with just two goals – so far he has scored at least four in each of his previous three tournaments.
At the opening of a local fan fest in Fortaleza, Ronaldo has asked his countrymen to curse Klose when Germany play Ghana in their city on 21 June.
"I have one big favour to ask of you because Germany play here. Please cast a tiny spell on Klose. That would be good," he said as quoted by ESPN.
"I will pray with all my powers that Klose does not break the record. Klose's advantage is that he still plays."
While Klose may break Ronaldo's goal-record, the Brazilian has also won two actual World Cup's and Klose is still trying to win his first one.
"He won't erase my career," Ronaldo added.
On Friday, Klose surpassed Gerd Muller as Germany's all-time record goal-scorer by hitting his 69th goal for Germany in his country's 6-1 victory over Armenia.
