Veteran midfielder Xavi says that Bayern Munich boss Pep Guardiola "perfected" FC Barcelona's game in his time as manager at the club.

The retired Spain international was full of praise for his former manager, saying that Guardiola changed football with his coaching style – admitting that it's strange to see the coach on the opposition bench.
"Pep is fantastic and perfected the game of Barcelona," he told Adidas Gamedayplus.
"He revolutionised football and now we have him as a rival.
"It is a strange feeling to see him on another bench."
Xavi made his 150th Champions League appearance in the side's second-leg encounter against the Bavarians, and was proud of all that he has accomplished.
"I've been very lucky to be in Barcelona and to play so many games and achieve great things in the Champions League.
"It's incredible for me to overtake so many legends and become the player with the most appearances in the competition."
Xavi made his debut for the Catalan club at 18-years-old, under the captaincy of his former manager, Guardiola.

During the Spaniard's reign as manager of the Spanish giants, Guardiola won the La Liga three times, the Champions League twice and the Copa del Rey twice, among other titles.
