Al Ahly management reportedly wants Jose Riveiro to add a coach from Egyptian rivals Pyramids FC to his coaching staff at Al Ahly.

Al Ahly's chairman of the board of directors has allegedly held meetings with the Spanish tactician to resolve several outstanding issues such as backroom staff, new signings, and outgoing players.
Sport El Watan reported that the Al Ahly board wants to add Pyramids FC fitness coach, Islam Gamal, to Riveiro's coaching team.
Previous reports suggested that the ex-Orlando Pirates boss had wanted Spaniard Carlos Nodar Paz as his fitness coach, but the Al Ahly management had pushed for a local coach to join Riveiro's team.
The publication reported further that Gamal was nominated by a member of the club's board of directors to the football committee to help develop the Red Devils' players' fitness levels.
Gamal was supposedly chosen by the Al Ahly board due to his work as a personal fitness trainer to many Al Ahly and Egyptian players.

The Vigo-born coach was set to meet with the Al Ahly President to discuss the remainder of his coaching staff, while the two are also going to discuss the future of interim coach Emad El-Nahhas and assistant coach Mohamed Shawky.
