Pjanic joined the Catalan giants in a massive swap deal that saw Arthur Melo join Juventus earlier in this window.
The 30-year-old Bosnia and Herzegovina international, who recently recovered after testing positive for COVID-19, has now revealed what Ronaldo told him after his move to LaLiga was confirmed.
"The opposite," Pjanic told Mundo Deportivo when asked if the former Real Madrid star was against his transfer to the Camp Nou.
"When everything was done, he told me that he was very happy for me, that I would be happy here because the game in Spain is very good and strong.
"It was bad for him that I was leaving Juventus, but he told me that he thinks I will have a lot of fun in a great team like Barcelona.
"Cristiano has been very professional at Juventus, he is a player who has shown many great things and who has been very important in the dressing room by setting an example for everyone."
Pjanic is one of four new Barcelona signings, alongside Francisco Trincao, Pedri and Matheus Fernandes, although the latter pair could go out on loan before the window closes.
