FC Barcelona superstar, Lionel Messi has revealed three players that he hates to go up against, and his long-standing rival Cristiano Ronaldo is one of them.

The Argentine was asked about the toughest opponent he has come up against and insisted there is no easy answer to this question.
He then listed three of his current teammates, whom he faces daily in training, as well as three opponents from other teams.
"Wow, that is a difficult one," Messi told Squawka.
"I don't want to single one out, but I'd say that I'm happy that most of them play for Barcelona and I've only played against them internationally.
"I've faced Neymar, Iniesta and Xavi, and they are very tough. And of course there is Cristiano, Robben and Ribery. But I can't pick one."

The rivalry between Messi and Ronaldo goes a long way back and the Argentine faced Ribery and Robben in the 2012 Champions League semi-final, when Bayern thrashed Barcelona 7-0 on aggregate.
