Manchester United's hunt for a striker has reportedly taken a twist as a new target has recently emerged.

Coming off the back of a hugely disappointing season in 2024/25, Ruben Amorim will have a big task on his hands to get Man Utd back on track ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.
A 15th-placed finish coupled with a loss in the UEFA Europa League final means no European football for the Red Devils next season but that has not stopped the 20-time English champions from being active in the transfer market.
After Amorim had reportedly revealed that Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho, Antony and Alejandro Garnacho were banished from the first-team squad, the need for attacking reinforcements becomes a priority at Old Trafford.
After signing Brazilian international Matheus Cunha from Wolves for £62.5 million (R1.5 billion), several new signings are expected.
Reports from Gazzetta dello Sport said that Kean has a release clause of £44.5 million (R1 billion) and is fresh off the back of scoring 25 goals last season, the most of his career so far.
However, the release clause for the former Everton striker is only valid from 1-15 July, giving them a small window to secure the Italian international's signature.
A move for Kean also hinges on Arsenal's search for a striker. The Gunners have been linked with a move for RB Leipzig star Benjamin Sesko, while there has also been reported interest for Sporting's Viktor Gyokeres, who has also been linked with a move to Man Utd.

The Red Devils will only make an attempt to sign the 25-year-old if Gyokeres gives a firm no.
