The Cameroonian has struggled since making the move to Manchester from Inter Milan in 2023. He was signed by former Ajax manager Erik Ten Hag, who viewed him as the perfect candidate for a ball-playing keeper.
However, Onana's time at Old Trafford was blighted by erratic form, poor decisions, and errors that severely affected his performances, under the guidance of both Ten Hag and his successor, Ruben Amorim.
Notably, Onana made waves this season after an online spat with Olympique Lyon midfielder Nemanja Matic ahead of their UEFA Europa League clash.
The Portuguese coach has reportedly refused to comment on whether or not the ex-Ajax goalkeeper will still be a Red Devil next season and Onana has taken the same stance.
According to Afrik Foot, Onana was in Burkina Faso attending a charity event organised by the Bertrand Traore Foundation. Despite the football season being over, the 29-year-old could not escape talks about his future and gave a simple response.
