According to Mundo Deportivo, Reds attacker Luis Díaz is determined to wear the famous red and blue of the Blaugrana. The Colombian winger has two years remaining on his contract at Anfield and is coming off the back of his best season on Merseyside, having scored 16 goals and provided eight assists in all competitions.
The 28-year-old’s form has even translated into his international performances, as he opened the scoring in Los Cafeteros’ 1-1 draw against Argentina.
His impressive displays and current contract situation have made him an attractive acquisition for Barca, and they are rumoured to have placed him at the top of their target list when it comes to wingers.
The same report claims that Díaz currently feels undervalued at Liverpool and envisions himself wearing a Barca kit at the start of next season.
He is reportedly determined to do whatever it takes to make the move happen, and it is also understood that the pacey attacker has halted any contract extension talks with Liverpool in an attempt to facilitate a switch to Catalonia.
It is believed that playing for the five-time European champions has always been a dream for the attacker since childhood, and this may be his last chance to make it happen.
