Spain head coach Luis Enrique has joked about the pressure of having to play his daughter's boyfriend at the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

The 2010 winners will start their tournament against Group E opponents Costa Rica on Wednesday, when Enrique will be hoping to claim all three points before taking on Germany in their second match on Sunday.
Responding to a question in a press conference this week about who in his squad he sees as an extension of himself, Enrique was quick to tease that Ferran Torres' relationship with his daughter gives him a selection headache.
"That's very easy: it's Mr Ferran Torres," he said, according to the Daily Mirror.
"Otherwise, my daughter will come after me and chop off my head!"
Torres has reportedly been dating Enrique's daughter, Sira Martinez, since last year, but the forward insisted that those off-field matters do not get in the way of what happens out on the pitch.
"I don't take it as added pressure, we know that the coach is a joker and he simply made a joke while he was live," he said.
"I think the coach and I, we know how to differentiate between when it's family and when we are manager and player.
"I think we have to get on with it in a natural way, just that and we're getting along fine."
Torres was handed his senior Spain debut by Enrique in 2020, and has since scored 13 goals in 31 matches for his country.

The former Manchester City forward found the back of the net twice for La Furia Roja at last year's UEFA European Championship, but was unable to prevent Spain from crashing out at the semi-final stage to eventual winners Italy.
