Chelsea star Hakim Ziyech has insisted that he and his Morocco teammates are ready to "make everybody proud" at the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Senegal Boss Breaks Silence On Mane's World Cup Exit
The 29-year-old returned to the Atlas Lions set-up earlier this year following a self-imposed exile from the national team, and since the appointment of Walid Regragui as Morocco head coach, the winger has shown his quality.
After impressive performances against Chile and Paraguay, the 2020/21 UEFA Champions League winner scored a stunning goal from the halfway line for the north African giants in their pre-tournament friendly against Georgia.
The Blues attacker believes that, as the second-highest-ranked African nation at the competition, they have prepared the best they can and are ready to navigate their way out of a tough Group F.
"I think we have prepared good, we had a good game against Georgia, I think we played a good game," Ziyech told Morocco FA media.
"The feeling's good, spirit is good in the team and we know what we have to do to make everyone proud.
"I think, for everybody, it's a big stage now to show what we are capable of as a team and as a country.
"If you look at everything in and around the team, everything looks good, we have a good connection with each other and we have done a lot of hard work, and I think the combination of all this will help us have a good tournament."
