Both teams currently sit level at the bottom of Group A of the Club World Cup and require nothing less than a victory to stand a chance of qualifying for the last 16.
Veiga, who joined Porto from Saudi side Al Ahli ahead of the Club World Cup, is expecting a difficult game against Al Ahly. The Spaniard added that he was familiar with the Red Devils coach, Jose Riviero, Portuguese publication Bola Ra Nede reported.
"I don’t think it will be an easy game at all," Veiga said.
"Their current coach, Jose Riveiro, previously coached me when I was eight years old, and I know very well how he works.
He added: "I was in Saudi Arabia, so I know that they are a very difficult team to beat, very complete and with a long list of achievements that include titles in Egypt and the African Champions League. They are here for a reason, and we respect them a lot. We will try to do our best and win."
The 23-year-old reflected on the disappointment of losing to Inter Miami in their second game as he felt his team played better, but insisted the focus now shifted solely to Al Ahly.

"We didn’t know how to react to that situation, we were very disappointed, but football is fast and we have to focus on Al Ahly to do our best and win," he concluded.
