Zamalek have reportedly been given a list of demands if they are to successfully acquire the services of Percy Tau.

The White Knights have been linked with the Witbank native for several months now. When it became apparent that the 31-year-old would be leaving Al Ahly at the start of the year, there were multiple rumours claiming that he would make the controversial switch to their arch-rivals.
Ultimately, that move never came to fruition, as he instead made the transition to the Qatari Stars League, where he played for Qatar SC. Despite registering four assists in his nine league appearances, the Middle Eastern outfit have officially decided to part ways with Tau, making him a free agent ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.
Now, it seems that the five-time African champions have reignited their interest in the 51-cap international, who is now understood to be a top priority for the North African giants. However, bringing him back to the Cairo International Stadium will not come cheap.
According to Korabia, the attacker’s representatives have made it clear to Zamalek that he will only sign for the Egyptian giants if they offer him; an annual salary of $1.25 million (R22.5 million), a signing bonus of $400 000 (R7.2 million) and a clause in his contract allowing him to unilaterally terminate the deal should any of the aforementioned financial terms not be met.

The same report claims that these terms are non-negotiable due to interest from other clubs and Zamalek’s troubled recent history of not paying players.
