The Brazilian star is set to move to English Premier League giants Chelsea following the conclusion of the Club World Cup. Estevao starred as the Green and White triumphed over the Red Devils to leave the side in prime position to qualify for the last 16, while Riveiro's team faces an uphill task to qualify.
Speaking after the victory, the teenager was awarded the man of the match award and admitted that the game against Jose Riveiro's team was a difficult game, according to FilGoal.
"It was a tough match, the weather was very hot," Estevao said. "We know how difficult it is to play in this high temperature. We also knew how good Al-Ahly was, but we also knew our own quality," he added.
Despite dominating possession and creating plenty of chances, the Red Giant could not overcome the Palmeiras defence and Estevao said the team was able to come away with the win due to their playing style.
"We were able to impose our style of play, and with the support of the fans, which was essential for us, we were able to collect the three points," he added.
