Masandawana will face Korean side Ulsan HD, German giants Borussia Dortmund and, Brazilian outfit Fluminense and it is the Bundesliga side who have made a call on 2014 World Cup winner Mats Hummels.
The AS Roma defender had announced his intention to retire at the end of the season but German reports indicated that his former side was looking to bring him back for the Club World Cup following an injury to Nico Schlotterbeck.
According to Buli News as per Sport Bild, The Black and Yellow have decided against signing Hummels for the tournament as the side has since stabilised its defence.
Hummels, who enjoyed two successful stints with the BVB, is short on match fitness having not featured for the Italian giants in over a month.
Reports, however, suggested that a testimonial match has supposedly been planned for Hummels, while there is also a possibility that he could return to the club in a different role once his playing career has ended.
