Arsenal cruised to a 5-0 win this past weekend to remain unbeaten in the Premier League this season. Mikel Arteta substituted Noni Madueke for Max Dowman in the 64th minute and, in doing so, made the Englishman the second-youngest debutant in league history.
Dowman established himself in Arsenal folklore when he was brought down in the box, resulting in a penalty, which Viktor Gyokeres slotted home for the fifth of the game.
He became just the third 15-year-old to play in the Premier League, alongside one of his teammates, and Leicester City's Jeremy Monga last season.
Among the other names are Liverpool's Harvey Elliott, who made his league debut for Fulham in 2019 aged 16, shortly before securing his move to the Reds.
The 'oldest' 16-year-old on the list is former Coventry City and Birmingham City forward Gary McSheffrey, who held the record until former England international Aaron Lennon broke it in 2003.
The likes of Wayne Rooney, James Milner and Jack Wilshere are some 16-year-olds who did not make the top 10 list.
