The Gunners have confirmed the signing of attacker Eberechi Eze from Crystal Palace, bringing the 27-year-old back to the club after 14 years.
He joins for a reported fee of £60 million (R1.4 billion), with £8 million (R189 million) in add-ons included. The 12-capped international joins after enjoying a historic campaign with the Eagles, helping the club claim their first major trophy when they lifted the FA Cup.
The 2024/25 season was also his most productive in the Premier League, as he registered eight goals and eight assists.
His standout form inevitably attracted interest from several top English clubs. While Arsenal were initially considered favourites for his signature, it later appeared that north London rivals Spurs were closing in on a deal, with Eze rumoured to be on the verge of joining the Lilywhites.
However, following news of an injury to Kai Havertz, the Gunners moved quickly to revive their pursuit of the midfielder, sealing the transfer in a matter of days.
