The title was wrapped up for the Citizens before they even kicked a ball on the weekend, after Mikel Arteta's Arsenal suffered a 1-0 away loss to Nottingham Forest on Saturday.
The result guaranteed a place in next season's Premier League for the Tricky Trees, while it also meant that Pep Guardiola's men claimed the trophy on Sunday for a third consecutive campaign, matching Manchester United's "three-peats" between 1999 and 2001, and 2007 and 2009.
City's players were given a guard of honour when they hosted Chelsea at the Etihad Stadium and went on to pick up a victory following a first-half strike from Argentina forward Julian Alvarez.
Guardiola fielded what appeared to be far from his strongest XI for the match as the likes of Cole Palmer, Kalvin Phillips and Sergio Gomez were handed starts, while players such as Erling Haaland, Jack Grealish and Kevin De Bruyne all started on the bench.
However, all of the club's stars made their way to the pitch to celebrate with the Premier League trophy after the game ended as thousands of supporters stayed behind to soak in the team's latest achievement.
