Former Manchester United star Michael Carrick has named five of the best players he has ever faced in his career, which included a couple FC Barcelona legends.

Carrick spent 12 years at the Red Devils before he eventually called time on his footballing career at the end of the 2017-2018 season.
During his time at United, Carrick played in three Champions League finals, winning one against Chelsea in 2008.
The other two appearances resulted in losses to FC Barcelona in 2009 and 2011, and Carrick reveals Lionel Messi, Xavi, Andres Iniesta and Sergio Busquets were among the best he's played against.
"Messi is up there," Carrick told the Mirror.
"Seedorf when he played for Milan. But that Barcelona midfield of Busquets, Iniesta, Xavi with Messi… It doesn't get much better than that as a group."
