English Premier League

Teams: Manchester United vs Liverpool

Venue: Old Trafford, Manchester

Time: 6.30pm

Both teams come into this tie on the back of defeats, with United having lost out to Swansea in their previous fixture, and Liverpool to West Ham United.

Players from both sides were away on international duty this week, with Wayne Rooney looking to take some confidence into this match after becoming England's record scorer.

Liverpool will be without Philippe Coutinho for the clash, which will be a massive blow for Brendan Rodgers' side, who tend to rely on the Brazilian when going forward.

The Red Devils go into the tie having won eight of their last nine matches at home against the Merseyside club.

United boss Louis van Gaal has been heavily criticised recently, with questions being raised over his squad selections, but a win against their biggest rivals will certainly do him good.

Here's how the teams will line up:

Manchester United: De Gea; Darmian, Smalling, Blind, Shaw; Carrick, Schweinsteiger; Mata, Herrera, Memphis; Fellaini

Liverpool: Mignolet, Clyne, Skrtel, Lovren, Gomez, Lucas, Can, Milner, Firmino, Ings, Benteke
