English Premier League Report: Watford 0-3 Arsenal 17 October 2015

Aaron Ramsey

English Premier League   Result: Watford 0-3 Arsenal   Date: 17 October 2015   Venue: Vicarage Road   A second-half surge saw Arsenal ease past Watford 3-0 in their English Premier League clash on Saturday.   The visitors came out guns blazing and nearly netted the opener in the 11th minute when Alexis Sanchez attacked down the left channel before cutting inside and smashing a shot at the top corner of the goal, but Heurelho Gomes made a great save.   Arsene Wenger's charges should have been in front in the 28th minute when Aaron Ramsey was picked out by Sanchez with a super pass. However, the Welshman somehow sent his shot over the goal from close range.   The deadlock was broken just past the hour mark. Mesut Ozil and Santi Cazorla combined with a nifty one-two which resulted in the former going down in the area. The referee played advantage instead of giving a penalty and Sanchez was on hand to pounce on the loose ball and lash home.   Six minutes after taking the lead, the Gunners were two goals clear. Ozil broke free and made it all the way to the byline before cutting the ball back for Olivier Giroud who produced a confident finish into the roof of the net.   The game was put to bed in the 74th minute as Arsenal scored their third. Bellerin made progress down the right flank before cutting inside and teeing up Ramsey, who took a touch and slid the ball underneath the advancing Gomes.
