Bayern Munich manager Hansi Flick has announced his intention to leave the Bundesliga giants at the end of the season.
Flick only took charge of the Bavarias in November 2019 and went on to guide the club to a treble in his first season in charge.
Even though Bayern have been knocked out of the UEF Champions League, they remain on course to win a ninth successive Bundesliga title.
The 56-year-old announced his decision after the Bavarians defeated Wolfsburg to go seven points clear at the top with five games left.
"I told the team today that I informed the club during the week after the game in Paris that I would like to terminate my contract at the end of the season," Flick told Sky Germany.
"It was important to me that the team heard it from me. I am very grateful that I was allowed to accompany the team."
There have been a number of reports claiming Flick could take over with the German national side when Joachim Low steps down after the European Championship.
Flick served as Low's assistant for the national side since 2006 before he took over at Bayern three years ago.
