Borussia Dortmund engineered a 3-2 victory over VfB Stuttgart to keep their top-four hopes alive in the Bundesliga on Saturday evening.
Dortmund looked to wash away their midweek loss to Manchester City in the UEFA Champions League and featured Erling Braut Haaland, Marco Reus, Gio Reyna and Jude Bellingham up top.
However, the Black and Yellow were behind in the 17th minute finish from Sasa Kalajdzic who headed home a telling cross from Borna Sosa.
Stuttgart began to drop deep and nearly surrendered their lead towards halftime, fortunately Raphael Guerreiro drilled a left-footed shot from a tight angle over the top.
Pressure from the visiting side continued to pile on the host, as Reus, Bellingham and Reyna plunged numerous shots in on goal late on but in the end to no avail.
At the other end, Kalajdzic should've gone on to complete a brace in the final minute of the half but saw his promising effort from close-range sail high of the actual target.
Dortmund entered the second half on fire and were level within a minute through a clever right-footed finish from Bellingham following a ball from Reyna, whilst Emre Can replaced Mats Hummels.
The turnaround from the visitors followed suit seven minutes following the restart after Reus carved space in the centre of the area to execute Mateu Morey's delivery past Gregor Kobel.
Stuttgart dusted themselves off following the slow start to the second half and drew level through the boot of Daniel Didavi in the last 12 minutes after a quick break-attack.
However, Dortmund regained the lead two minutes later when Ansgar Knauff met a ball from Haaland to apply a clever bottom-corner finish.
Pellegrino Matarazzo's side hoped to level once again as full-time neared, but Dortmund held on in the end to secure victory.
