Erling Haaland bagged a brace as Borussia Dortmund kept their Bundesliga top-four hopes alive with a 4-1 thrashing of Werder Bremen on Sunday afternoon.
Rising star Jude Bellingham and fellow front-men Marco Reus, Mahmoud Dahoud and Erling Braut Haaland set out the Black and Yellow' line-up.
After bowing out of the UEFA Champions League to Manchester City in midweek, the host trailed on 14 minutes through a smart finish from inside the box by Milot Rashica.
However, the host bounced back just before the halftime period and pulled themselves back level from a thumping strike from outside the area by Giovanni Reyna off a pass from Mateu Morey.
Dortmund went on to take the lead inside the closing quarter of the half through a penalty from Haaland after Reus drew a foul off Kevin Mohwald.
At the same time, Bremen issued a first half substitution as Roman Schmid replaced an injured Leonardo Bittencourt.
The Black and Yellow nabbed a third goal following the final seven minutes of the half after Haaland completed his brace with a stern left-footed finish from inside the area.
It could've been four for the host a little later when Bellingham closed in with a smart effort inside the six-yard area following a pass from Reyna, but he had his effort parried.
As the second half commenced, Bremen continued to hold their own despite trailing though could've staged a comeback through Davie Selke and Rashica.
Although, the Black and Yellow had a fourth in the final exchanges after a mistimed defensive clearance from Theodor Gebre Selassie landed into his own net.
In the end , Dortmund soaked up the closing seconds of the match to claim victory and go within four points off the top-four bracket.
