Result: Borussia Dortmund 1-2 Eintracht Frankfurt
Date: 03 April 2021
Venue: Signal Iduna Park
Borussia Dortmund's top-four push in the Bundesliga took another knock after suffering a 2-1 loss to Eintracht Frankfurt on home soil.
Dortmund were still without the services of influential winger Jadon Sancho, as they went for Thorgan Hazard and Marco Reus alongside Erling Haaland.
Frankfurt took a surprising lead after just 14 minutes when Nico Schulz deflected the ball into his own net, leaving Dortmund shot-stopper Marwin Hitz.
Dortmund looked to claw themselves back into the contest soon after but Haaland sent an effort wide from close range on 21 minutes, before Raphael Guerriero went close a couple minutes later.
After waves of attack, the home side got their equaliser on the stroke of halftime when defender Mats Hummels turned home a cross from Emre Can.
With the hosts pushing for a second goal, Dortmund opted for a double change in the final 30 minutes as Dahoud and Ansgar Knauff were introduced for Jude Bellingham and Hazard.
The goal would come with two minutes left on the clock but for the visitors, as Andre Silva connected with Filip Kostic's cross to find the bottom corner and send his side seven points clear of fifth-placed Dortmund.
